Ceskie - pronounced "Chess-kii"- infuses 16 years of classical and contemporary music industry experience - performing, writing, producing and mixing - into her work.
She's recorded in 250+ professional sessions as a violinist, played and recorded with artists like Jacob Collier, Lizzie McAlpine, Patrice Rushen and Thomas Newman. She has arranged / performed / mixed strings for top artists across genres, including for Kehlani’s world tour opening for Justin Bieber.
She's written and recorded for film, performed with classical orchestra and pop string sections across Europe and the USA in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, MIT's Kresge Auditorium, Bridgewater Hall, BSO Symphony hall and performed solo at a private event for Prince William.
She studied violin and composition at conservatory - Chethams School of Music - from age 11. At 13, she was discovered and mentored by Anne Shih, the last teaching assistant of Josef Gingold. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2020, as a DJ, producer and arranger, with a scholarship-funded B.M. Professional Music degree focused on Music Engineering & Production and Songwriting.
Despite having a DJ residency lined up in Boston, due to Covid, she returned to the UK after graduation. Although quarantine was spent isolated in the countryside, she established herself as a leading pop string arranger within a year. Her alter ego, Eva Hummingbird - a 1940s spy and violinist - was created to showcase this side of her artistry. Presented as a multi-media story told via Instagram, this led to many established, grammy winning producers seeking to work with her.
Over the past two years, she has composed, arranged, performed and mixed strings for top artists and producers. This includes Kehlani, Alex Cuba (Latin Grammy winner) and major producers with credits including Mahalia, Demi Lovato, Lil Wayne, Drake, SG Lewis, Victoria Monet, Snoh Aalegra, Little Mix , Mabel & Troye Sivan.
She recently had her debut track 'Nobody But You' premiered on the BBC Introducing radio show, ushering in a new chapter of Ceskie's career as a house producer and DJ.
