CESKIE ("chess-key") is a British/Dutch Berklee College of Music trained DJ, Producer, Violinist & Songwriter. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Berklee Groove, Berklee's student newspaper, working as an interviewer, radio show host and DJ.

Ceskie is one of 5 featured Berklee DJs in a new residency established in February 2020 at the W Hotel, Boston. Her love for people, electronic dance music (EDM) and music composition have fused in the development of her craft, inspiring her sets.

Through her position as Editor-in-Chief of Berklee Groove, Ceskie has interviewed and watched many leading DJs, such as Sam Feldt, Lucas & Steve, KSHMR, Oliver Heldens and Snakehips - over the past year. This has inspired her studies with Jason Dawson (DJ JD) and Brian 'Raydar' Ellis, in her last semester at Berklee.

Catch her every other Thursday experimenting with sets bold, technical, funky, mellow and story driven as she finds her voice and explores the boundaries of current DJ-ing.

She will be also be DJ, host and producer for Berklee Groove's weekly upcoming radio show on Berklee's Internet radio, the BIRN.

Ceskie is the creative force behind Berklee Groove, Berklee College of Music's student publication, connecting students and alumni to inspire them to #getinthegroove and share their journey to success.

Francesca ‘Ceskie’ Rijks took over as the Editor-in-Chief of Berklee Groove, in May 2019. Since then she has headed the relaunch of the publication, reshaping the direction and impact of Berklee Groove and creating a platform through which Berklee students and alumni share music releases, shows, opinions and stories.

Ceskie rebuilt in collaboration with developers at Wix, established a partnership with Down Under School of Yoga, and received the support of Berklee President Roger Brown. Together with her talented team of newly hired student writers, assistant editor and social media manager, Berklee Groove publishes daily content aimed at inspiring and informing the current Berklee network.

During the last 6 months she has chatted with Julia Michaels, KSHMR, Alice Merton, Sam Feldt, Jónsi & Alex, Donovan Woods, Easy Life, Loud Luxury, i_o, Taking Back Sunday and Mary Lambert, to name a few. Her show reviews include Oliver Heldens, Snakehips, Cigarettes After Sex, KT Tunstall, Kim Petras, Tegan & Sara, Goldroom and Hozier.

In 2019 she reviewed and interviewed at multiple festivals - such as Mysteryland Festival, Gampel Festival, Wanderlust and Boston Calling. She has interviewed Berklee Alumni and students at all stages of their careers, in order to bring their advice to aspiring music industry professionals currently at Berklee.

She is currently working on a collaboration with the BIRN (Berklee Internet Radio Network), to launch a weekly radio show in Spring 2020. At the suggestion of Roger Brown, she is working to establish a partnership with the Barnes & Nobel - run Berklee Bookstore, to sell the redesigned Berklee Groove merchandise. She is also working with other Berklee clubs, internal organisations, and the campus-based street team to establish the #getinthegroove hashtag as an Instagram campaign, to encourage the Berklee network to share the daily hustle behind their success.
